Our week-on-week short 4, 6 or 8 week courses allow students to immerse themselves in a range of media, learn new skills and become part of our art community. With classes available for beginners, intermediate and advanced students in a range of subjects.
Mid-course enrolments are welcome in many of our courses.
Workshops
For those interested in a one-off session, try our Weekend Workshops which run year-round on Saturdays and Sundays. As a bonus, any adult student enrolled in a short course receives a 10% discount on any weekend workshop in the same term.
Which course should I do?
Beginners: Beginner courses build confidence and skills, exploring the fundamentals and theory of art, including drawing, colour and composition across various media. Students are nurtured and encouraged to find their voice.
Intermediate (some experience): More experienced students can build on their skills by focusing on a particular medium in-depth or finessing a style or technique.
Advanced (Masterclass): For students who are confident and experienced and are striving to explore new or traditional techniques.

This 4 week painting course is a great introduction for students who want to learn how to paint portraits in oils or improve their skills. Tam Cao is our visiting tutor this term. Primarily a portrait and landscape artist, Tam studied at the Julian Ashton Art School and was awarded the John Olsen Scholarship in 2010.
