My child is not 5 yet, can they do a class?

Children must have already turned 5 AND be at primary school. We do not accept pre-schoolers. The exception is at the January School Holidays where children are already 5 AND about to start Primary School. We recommend these kids attend just 1 × 3 hour session per day rather than a full day. ↑ back to top

My child is older/younger than the listed age range, can they still do the class?

Our class content, class pace and materials are age appropriate, so we do recommend you follow this to ensure the best possible experience. However, if children wish to be with siblings or friends who are in different age brackets, we can offer some flexibility.

We allow a child to move down age brackets as long as your child understands there will be younger kids and this does not worry them (e.g. a 9 year old child can move into a class for 5-7 years).

If moving a child into an older age bracket, we limit this to one year higher (e.g. a 7 year old child can move into move into a class for 8-10 years). We limit the age range when moving children up because younger kids (even if they are mature for their age) can get overwhelmed and frustrated as the class pace is faster and they may not at the same skill level. ↑ back to top
