Art classes for everyone

Art Est. is Sydney’s leading independent art school, with short courses, weekend workshops and masterclasses for adults, as well as term courses and school holiday workshops for kids and teens.

Established in Leichhardt in 2008 by Jennifer McNamara, Art Est is a local art school where students of all ages and abilities can discover their artistic potential in a professional studio environment with practicing artists. Our refurbished warehouse studios have transformed Art Est into a creative art space for painting, drawing, printmaking and ceramics.

Over the past 16 years, Art Est has gained a reputation for employing local creatives, offering a platform for new and emerging artists, and providing quality tuition in a nurturing and relaxed environment.

Classes are taught by award-winning practicing artists, qualified art teachers or art school graduates, and those who exhibit with respected galleries. Art Est. offers excellence in art education. It is not a registered training organisation (RTO) and does not offer accredited courses – it’s about making art accessible and getting everyday creatives in the same studio as practicing artists offering hands-on learning.
