Whether you're a beginner looking to embark on your artistic journey or an experienced artist seeking new inspirations and techniques, this one-day painting workshop is designed to cater to all skill levels including senior secondary students. Come prepared to experiment, explore, and create captivating works of art using acrylic paint and mixed media collage.
Materials
Please bring the following:
Collage material – thin paper is the best, printed or unprinted
Charcoal
Acrylic Ink, black
Acrylic matte medium or pva glue
Optional - Pastels (chalk or oil ), Posca pens orequivalent
Your acrylic paints. Bring what you have, please use good ‘artist’ quality paints. Inferior paints do not produce good results. We recommend Matisse Derivan or Atelier brand paints
Drying retarder (optional)
Your brushes. A selection of large and small brushes, wide cheap brush for glue
A palette knife for mixing paint
Your painting palette – a large flat surface is best
Rags or paper towel
Water spray
Colours recommended
Bring whatever colours you have, with the following selection giving you a key palette mix:
Our new Main Studios are located at 10 Hill Street Leichhardt, an the corner of Hill Street. John Street runs between Moore Street and Styles Street in the 'east village' precinct of Leichhardt near White's Creek Annandale.
Parking
There is no on-site parking. Please allow time to find parking in the surrounding streets. We request you do not park at the lower end of Hill Street as it is a narrow, dead-end street where residents park.
