In this fun hand-building class you will create and decorate a totem based around a theme of interest to you. Perhaps botanical, animal, magical or even abstract. No experience necessary! With her expertise, Lisa will help you plan and realise your ideas.
What to expect
This is a three part workshop held over a few dates. Your tutor, Lisa Holzl , is here to make your experience easy and fun.
Day 1 - Sunday November 26: 10am-2pm: Planning and Building Totem Elements
Day 2 - Sunday December 10: 10am-2pm: Colour - Glazing
Day 3 - Monday December 18: 6:30pm-8:30pm: Composition, Assemble and Celebrate
What will you achieve?
During this workshop, you will:
- Create a beautiful ceramic totem
- Learn Lisa's professional tips and tricks for working with clay.
- Learn about glazing and surface decoration techniques.
- Learn from the best — Lisa is a Sydney-based artist who loves sharing her passion for ceramics and painting. Lisa has a vibrant ceramics practice at her studio in Marrickville and has exhibited at Artspace, the Royal Botanical Gardens Sydney, Salon des Refusés, Kerrie Lowe Gallery and many more.
