In this fun hand-building class you will create and decorate a totem based around a theme of interest to you. Perhaps botanical, magical or even abstract. No experience necessary! With her expertise, Lisa will help you plan and realise your ideas.  Each participant will make a 60-80cm high ceramic totem for the house or garden. This is a great series of three workshop sessions introducing basic hand-building and glazing techniques, as well as composition and design. Bring along your sketches and ideas for what you would ike to make, and Lisa will help make this a reality! Course testimonials:

  • Lisa Holzl was a fantastic instuctor in the Ceramic Totem Workshop. The class had a variety of skills levels from the experienced potter who wanted a day of fun to the never used clay before beginner. Each student felt valued and instructions given as group and individually. Highly recommend the three part workshop. It was amazing to see the different ideas and completion of everyones totem pole. The totem pole takes pride of place in my garden.
  • Such a great workshop. We were shown simple ways to make the elements for the totem and could add our own style and colours to the finished work. Enjoyed assembling the final artwork and deciding which pieces ended up where. A bit of extra guidance from Lisa to add just one more piece to make it pop. Great studio. Excellent workshop format. Brilliant tutor. Thanks Art Est!
