Join artist Tam Cao in this 4 week still life painting course as a great way for students to improve their skills. Learn about still life painting with a limited palette. Starting with primary shapes i.e. cube, cone, sphere etc. and further into more complicated shapes. As we arrange the objects in space you'll discover that composition of your still-life is a starting point to picture making.

Materials List
Materials:
- AS oil paint titanium white, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber, raw umber, lamp black, optional colours: cadmium orange, alizarin crimson
- Range of flat and round brush
- acrylic primed linen (or 50/50 blend polycotton canvas) roughly 30 x 40 cm working area
- palette or perspex for mixing
- medium sized palette knife
- lots of rags for clean up
- refined linseed oil and odourless solvent
