Working With Watercolour | Tanya Baily | The Holiday Sketchbook
Course Overview
Getting ready for the summer season and learn how to use this most portable and beautiful of mediums to record happy moments.
Workshop theme: The Colour of Shadows and Capturing Light
Tanya will discuss how to simplify what you see and to capture what you see in a minimum of time. You will learn about limiting your palettes to a few pigments, and how to set up compositions with colour washes. You will practice shorthand ways of describing familiar subjects, and how to capture light and mood with efficient use of water management and techniques. After a short introduction in the studio, students will practice from life in the streets and parks around Art Est. The workshop also includes ideas about nimble and efficient watercolour kits and making your own sketchbooks.
