What other students say about Susie:

[Susie] taught the class enthusiastically with a great sense of humour and plenty of hands-on feedback and encouragement. I had lots of fun too and she helped me let go of some of my apprehensions about watercolour application with her individual approach. It was the best art workshop I have ever attended and I was thrilled with what I accomplished that day!

Course testimonials:

  • Susie Murphie's high-energy, pragmatic approach to teaching watercolour made for a motivating start to my creative year. Her focus on results and on the beauties and innate qualities of the watercolour medium is always helpful. I love how she balances exuberant encouragement of her students with straightforward technical critique and the generous sharing of her wealth of practical experience.
  • Fantastic course. Great teacher. Good facilities.
  • Well thought out exercises, as much help as we needed. Fun experience with a great teacher. Would have liked a week. The organisation within Art Est was good so coffee breaks and lunch times were staggered. The kitchen was always clean and tea and coffee readily available. Although there were several classes running concurrently there was ample room for everyone to be safely spaced.
