Ceramics | Chook Wind Chimes | 9-12 years
Make a ceramic wind chime in the form of a chook or rooster or other bird! Learn hand-building techniques to create your animal wind chime and paint with underglazes to give it some colour and personality.
Designed for young creators, this hands-on workshop encourages exploration and self-expression through the tactile world of clay. Students unleash their imagination, learning the fundamentals of hand-building techniques to mould unique sculptures. From pinch pots to coil creations, students discover the joy of turning a lump of clay into a personal masterpiece.
What will students make?
A ceramic windchime that will be fired in our kilns and ready to collect about 3 weeks after the workshop.
The artworks made in this class will be fired in our kiln so kids will not take their artwork home on the day. The work needs to dry out before bisque firing, we then glaze the work and fire again in our kiln. We will send you an email notifying you when to collect your artwork so keep an eye on your inbox. Please allow about 3 weeks until they are ready to collect.
