Join well-known ceramicist Ilona Bruckard to make a beautiful nature-inspired ceramic wall piece in this unique hand-building class. Ilona’s ceramics practice centres around organic forms inspired by nature, the Australian landscape — particularly the ocean. In this two-part workshop she will inspire and teach you how to create your own hand-crafted ceramic sculpture. No experience necessary! With her expertise, Ilona will help you plan and realise your ideas.
What to expect
This is a two-part workshop held over two days. Your tutor, Ilona Bruckard , is here to make your experience easy and fun.
Day 1 - 10am-2pm: Plan and begin to build your wall piece with Ilona’s help and guidance
Day 2 - 10am-2pm: Continue building, decorating and creating surface treatments for you wall piece.
What will you achieve?
During this workshop, you will:
- Create a beautiful, nature-inspired wall piece
- Learn Ilona’s professional tips and tricks for creating sculptures, and working with clay and texture
- Learn about hand-building, texture, and surface decoration techniques
- Learn from the best — Ilona is a Western Sydney-based artist with a passion for creating and teaching visual arts, particularly ceramics.

This is a class for all levels. No prior experience required, just your enthusiasm.

- All materials are supplied for this workshop and included in your workshop fee.
- You work will be glazed and fired after the workshop and will be available for pickup 2 – 3 weeks later.
