Children's Art Party | Ceramic Sculpture

Make your child’s next birthday party fun and arty! A birthday party at Art Est. is hands-on and every child creates a masterpiece based on the chosen theme. Choose from a range of engaging and entertaining art making, such as printmaking, painting, ceramics or cartooning.

How it works

The art parties are held in our inspiring warehouse art studios and gallery, so children feel like real artists from the moment they arrive. The art making takes places in the Ceramic Studio where they can play with clay and handbuild their sculpture. The party food and birthday cake is enjoyed in the main art gallery.

Parties run for 2.5 hours, that’s 1 1/2-2 hours for your activity in the Ceramic Studio and 30-45 minutes party time in the Art Est Gallery for the birthday cake etc.
Parties usually run Saturday afternoons from 2.30pm-5.00pm.

Ceramic Sculpting Party

Kids will learn handbuilding techniques to make a sculpture in clay.
The sculpture may be painted with an underglaze and is then bisque fired in our kiln.
After bisque firing, we will glaze the work with your choice of a clear glaze and fire them again in the kiln.
Please allow 3 weeks after the party to collect the finished works (we will contact you to let you know when they are ready).

*A note about maximum numbers and minimum age:
Ceramic sculpture parties have a maximum of 12 children (more than this will require two tutors) The minimum age is 8 years*

Fees and payment

The fee for 1- 10 children $750.00 (this is the minimum fee) Additional child $70 each. (Maximum 12 in total)

A deposit of $375 is required to secure your party date. The balance of payment to be settled 5 days before the Party.

Inclusions

The party fee includes:

• 2.5 hour party (Approx 2 hours activity 30-45 minutes party time)
• All art materials and bisque firing of the sculpture
• Aprons to wear while in the workshop
• Experienced Art Tutor to run your art workshop
• Personalised Art Est. Party e-Invitations to email your guests
• We provide a trestle table 2mx0.8m long with four bench seats. (Additional tables and stools available for larger parties)
• Use of Art Est. kitchen for preparation. We have a small kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave

The following is excluded. You provide these:

• Birthday cake
• Catering (party food, drinks, etc)
• Decorations, cups, plates, lolly bags, table covers etc./

Personalise the Party

Why not order individually embroidered aprons for every child to wear and keep as a fabulous a memento of the birthday art party. Aprons feature the Art Est. logo, and can be individualized with each child 's name on their apron. You can also just order one apron especially for the birthday child. Personalised aprons must be ordered 14 days before the party date.

$35.00 per apron for 2-9 aprons
$40.00 for just one apron for the birthday child
