Learn the art of screenprinting and how to work from texts and illustrations, images and shapes to create printed paper or fabric artworks.
This introductory workshop introduces you to the principles of screenprinting, including preparing hand cut stencils, printing on paper or fabric and registration techniques. Spend two full days experimenting with the basic techniques and methodologies of screenprinting with a paper and a fabric project.
What will students take home?
- 1 x screenprint artworks -paper edition of 3
- 1 fabric artwork project, printed on your choice items.
- Series of small test exercises
Students, materials to bring:
6 sheets of A3 paper - 200+ gsm.
A t-shirt or plain calico/white tote bag, tea towel or piece of fabric (not black)
About studio classes
Our class sizes are small, ensuring you receive the individual tuition you need. We have a maximum of 12 students per class.
