Acrylic Painting Workshop for Beginners with Sally Mowbray

This workshop is an excellent starting point in painting in acrylics for absolute beginners. Students will enjoy a step by step approach, building skills and gaining confidence as the day progresses. Students will be introduced to fundamental painting skills using acrylics, as well as essential drawing skills in an interesting and informative format.
What to expect
Students will learn new concepts and techniques. Students can expect to:
- learn foundation drawing skills working from simple still life objects
- learn foundation painting skills working from simple still life objects
- learn about paint application techniques
- learn about naming, mixing and matching colours and organising your palette
Is this class right for me?
No experience necessary. It's a great start for absolute beginners, lapsed artists, or if you want to learn to paint but don't know where to start.
Materials
Included in the course fee is use of our acrylic paints, mediums, brushes and also canvas or canvas paper.
However, if you have some acrylic paints, brushes etc that you'd like to use, then by all means bring them along too. But no need to rush out and buy them - this is a taster workshop with everything supplied to make it easy for you.
Please bring the following:
- bring some rags and/or paper towels
- bring a notebook and pencil, rubber, sharpener

Our class sizes are small, ensuring you receive the individual tuition you need. We have a maximum of 12 students per class.
