Our school holiday art programs:

include a wide range of art forms including painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and more!
include all art materials and tuition in the workshop fee
offer 3-hour workshops with morning or afternoon sessions for kids aged 5 and over (9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm)
offer one and two-day master classes for teens to develop skills and explore new mediums or techniques (10am-4pm)
include lunchtime supervision for kids staying the whole day at no extra charge

Note: Our goal is to run all the advertised workshops. However, we sometimes need change a workshop theme, age range or tutor due to insufficient enrolments or other circumstances, and occasionally cancel a workshop altogether. In such circumstances, any student enrolled in a cancelled class will be transferred to another suitable class in the same time and parents will be notified.

Bookings with your NSW Active and Creative Kids Voucher

Art Est continues to be a registered Provider for the NSW Government Active and Creative Kids Progam. You can use your $50 Voucher with us for any holiday workshop. All of our school holiday workshops are held in our air-conditioned warehouse studio at 10 Hill Street, Leichhardt. This is where we have three painting and drawing studios, and the ceramics studio.Click here for map and directions.

Cartooning | Manga Madness | 8-12 years

Ceramics | Goannas, Geckos and Lizards | 8-12 years

For kids who love our reptilian friends! Kids will first draw their goanna, gecko, lizard or other reptiles then learn clay hand-building techniques to create their creature. Charcoal Drawing | Self Portraits | 8-12 years

In this class, we will explore the powerful medium of charcoal to create a self-portrait that captures not just your likeness, but your unique expression and personality. Cartooning | Super Cute Animals | 8-12 years

This is a workshop for young artists to learn techniques and skills to draw their own super cute cartoon animals. The class will focus on how to draw those puppy dog eyes, the happy duck smile, the jolly cow, the cutest of kittens and much more. Painting | Art on a Wire | 5-9 years

A fun workshop for kids who would love to spruce up their room. Using a favourite subject matter (bird or something else), create a bunting style artwork. Use a range of materials including paint and pencils to create individual paintings, then string the work together in a vertical or horizontal format. What will students take home? Ceramic | Surfin' Pup | 8-12 years

This playful ceramic sculpture captures the spirit of summer with a cool cat or adventurous dog riding the waves on a surfboard, bringing a splash of beachy fun to any space! Drawing | Daring Dragons | 7-9 years

In this workshop young artists will create their own fantasy themed art work. Kids will learn to draw, beginning by doing three drawings (step by step). Students will select their favourite one to then draw up with detail. The next part of the lesson will be about colouring and shading, the young artists will be guided through the process by their expert artist.
