Clay is a drug. Once you touch it, it is easy to get hooked. It is my life and I hope to hook as many others along with me. I love sharing my enthusiasm for the medium with people for whom it is a new discovery. I also love helping those who have taken their first clay steps and are hungry for more. The world of ceramics is inexhaustible and together we can all learn from one another. Through my business DM Pottery, I am busy supplying my ceramics to retail outlets in NSW and attending artisan markets and stocking my online store, i.e. making a living through my craft. This requires high skill levels and attention to quality and consistency. I can offer my students an insight into this lifestyle and a practical approach to making pottery.
Denise has a Diploma of Arts (Ceramics), Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Melbourne and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, University of New South Wales, Sydney. She exhibits regularly and has won many awards for her ceramics.
