"I am passionate about the experience of the creative process during art making. This stems from my interest in the how the mind and body integrate during the creative process. The mind with its play between conscious knowledge of the visual language combined with intuition and chance. The performative nature of the body with the development of the focused mind - a form of mindfulness. This passion leans into my teaching where I support students through imparting knowledge of the visual language and encourage students to trust their intuition. Collage is a perfect medium to explore these regions of the mind to create highly original and exciting artworks."
