Working across the disciplines of photography, painting and textile, Rhonda makes artwork with a unique focus on materials.

As part of her practice, Rhonda teaches creative workshops that stimulate inspiration and embrace imperfection as part of the creative process. She says her teaching style “provides a lot of scope for creative experimentation – under my guidance. Embracing imperfection is an important part of discovering your talents and problem-solving abilities”.

She has exhibited regularly since 2010 including six solo exhibitions. She has recently been a finalist in the North Sydney Art Prize (2019), Fisher’s Ghost Art Prize (2019) and the Blacktown City Art Prize (2018). In 2017, she completed her first public art installation ‘The Way of the River’ on a residential apartment building in Granville and in 2016, she undertook a residency in Japan to study traditional dye techniques and antique textiles.

Rhonda holds a Master of Fine Arts and Master of Studio Art from Sydney College of the Arts and studied at the Julian Ashton Art School.
