End of Year Student Exhibition | Student Showcase | Opens 7 December

This is an invitation for Art Est students in our adult classes to exhibit an artwork in our end of year student showcase. The information here refers to adult students only. Kids and teens will be contacted separately.

Who can enter?

Any student who is currently enrolled can submit an entry. This is non-selective - all students are welcome from beginners to advanced. We would love to see a range of work from students across all of our classes. If you are not currently enrolled but have completed a course or workshop this year, please get in touch.

What can I enter?

As there are many students and limited gallery space, we can accept only one artwork per student per class. If you are enrolled in multiple classes in the same term, you may enter one work per class. Paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics, etc welcome. Students are encouraged to curate their entries as a class so that we have a variety of work on exhibition.

Is there a fee to enter?

Yes. To cover some costs for staging the exhibition and opening event, we are introducing a small $15 fee per entry. This also gets you one Artist Ticket to the opening celebration.

Presentation + Hanging

All works should be delivered ready to hang.
Works on paper will need to be framed with 'D' rings attached.
Paintings on canvas or board do not need framing, but should have 'D' rings attached.
All works should have artist name, mobile, artwork title and price clearly labelled on the back.

Opening Event

The end-of-year celebration and exhibition opening will be held on Thursday 7 December from 6 to 8pm. Enjoy drinks, nibbles, and entertainment by the Leah Berry Trio. Save the date! Your ticket is included in the entry fee, and you can purchase additional Guest Tickets @ $20pp so that your friends and family can come along too. Children's (under 18) tickets are free but must be registered and be accompanied by an adult with a purchased ticket.

Wednesday 15 November: entries open
Monday 27 November -Saturday 2 December: Delivery of artworks to 10 Hill Street Campus
Thursday 7 December, 6-8pm: Exhibition Opening and End of Year Celebration
Friday 15 December: Exhibition closes
Monday 18 - Friday 22 December: Collection of work between 10am-2pm and 2-4pm
