The Great (Art) Outdoors | Sunday 21 May

Artists, families and people from all walks of life love to paint, draw and generally make ART in the Great Outdoors. On one extraordinary day, around 300 people gathered along the water’s edge of Hawthorne Canal, under trees in the adjoining park and in between curious cyclists and dog walkers to celebrate their shared love of creativity and the natural environment.

Participants created art in Art Est’s 10 en-plein air studio workshops on Sunday 21 May 2023 facilitated by professional artists from the Art Est. stable of tutors. It was an opportunity too good to miss.

Hosted by Art Est Art School and the Inner West Council, participants created an artwork along the inner west GreenWay under the guidance of award-winning Australian artists. Participants have now been invited to showcase their works in an exhibition at Art Est gallery.
