Course Overview
On the last Sunday of the month from May to September 2023 Jody will teach you about drawing, how to approach diverse subjects and mixed media techniques. Each workshop will cover different skills, themes, and elements in art.
All classes are designed to help you expand your art knowledge and ability to create awe inspiring artworks.
This session's theme | The Wonderful World of Birds with a focus on Texture & Materiality
The Wonderful World of Birds Workshop will teach you how to capture the awe-inspiring beauty of our feathered friends.
Spend a full day focusing on a bird theme and learn mixed media techniques to create interesting textures to draw and paint birds on.
This is a fun, easy to follow class with some structured drawing projects designed to strengthen your observation skills and individual expression.
Demonstrations throughout the class will guide students through a combination of mixed media techniques to learn about texture.
Lessons and techniques cater for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Do I need to attend every month?
There is no expectation for you to do all of the sessions, but you will certainly enjoy them all! It is possible to do one workshop, a few or the complete course.
