This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.

Course Overview

Loosen up and gain confidence in painting from life outdoors in the streets and parks around Art Est. Tanya will give you tips on how to best efficiently describe a full range of textures and colours.

Workshop theme: The Sketch No. 2

Learn how to simplify and set up your compositions for success in watercolour. You will practice with both loose wet washes as well as working on dry, and you will be encouraged to develop your own style in describing what you see. Tanya will also discuss materials and preperation for working outdoors, and colour mixing with a limited palette. Beginners to painting are encouraged to attend the previous workshop call "Sketch No. 1".
