Entomologists study insects, and Lepidopterologists study Moths and Butterflies! Let’s paint as many different species of moths as we can, concentrating on their little differences and interesting patterns!
Our online classes are delivered by tutors in real-time where students can follow the same step by step instruction as they’d receive in our studio classes, ask questions and share what they are working on with their zoom class mates.
Recommended Materials
- Paper – 1-2 sheets of thick paper like watercolour or a sketch pad (A3 size is good)
- HB pencil + Eraser + sharpener
- Textas or crayons
- Bright watercolour paints and paint brushes
- Water bucket and a soft rag or paper towels
We’re striving to use what you may already have on hand! So don’t hesitate if you don’t have the exact materials, as something similar will do the job just fine.
What you need to join our online art classes
• A smart device with an internet connection e.g. Laptop, iPad or Mobile phone
• Have the free Zoom app downloaded on your device and create a free Zoom account
• Read the recommended materials list for your class and book the class most suitable for you and your materials at home. Additionally, if you need any canvasses, Art Est can provide contactless pick-up.

Other Frequently asked questions
My child is older/younger than the suggested age, can they do the class? Our holiday classes are structured with age appropriate activities. If children are older than the listed age target they can do the class, as long as they are aware there will be younger kids in the class and this does not worry them. However it is not appropriate for children much younger than the listed age to attend classes aimed at older students (eg. a 6 year old enrolled in a class for 8-12s or a 9 year old in class for teens).
I have more than one child who wants to do the same online workshop, do I need to enrol and pay for both? You just pay once. With one enrolment fee, anyone in the household can join, so feel free to get the whole family involved. Do note: you will receive one access link per enrolment so you will only be able to use one device.
Are art materials included in the online workshop fee? No, you will need to supply your own materials as listed in the class information. We have tried to run classes using art materials that you probably already have about the house so if you do not have the exact materials, try to find something very similar.
If I cancel a booking can I get a refund? Please read our school holiday cancellation and refund policy in our terms and conditions carefully. We do not offer refunds for change of mind cancellations and a cancellation fee may be payable or you may forfeit the course fee, depending on when you cancel. Cick here for more details
