Get ready to celebrate the unique beauty of Australian flora in this one-of-a-kind art class inspired by local artist Carmen Hui. With her delicate pencil drawing of botanicals arranged in iconic Australian vessels, you’ll learn how to create stunning drawings of native flowers such as bottlebrush and Waratah, using colourful pencils and watercolours to bring them to life. Students are encouraged to bring in examples of their favourite brands to use as unusual vases and vessels for their arrangements, such as empty drink cans, bottles, tins and jars. Please make sure all vessels are empty and clean!
What will students take home?
Students will take home a finished watercolour and pencil illustration on high quality paper.
