Acrylic Painting | One Day Workshop for beginners and beyond with Mellissa Read-Devine
This one-day acrylic painting class is for anyone who would like to give painting a try. Mellissa will help you create a bright and contemporary work from your own reference images. Take home a finished painting and a new found confidence to continue. Anyone can learn to paint and in this relaxing, friendly and supportive class, you will be shown practical methods and techniques to paint a simple subject on canvas. No experience is necessary and all painting materials are included in the fee.
What to expect
Students will learn the basics of
- planning a composition
- arranging your work area and painting palette
- practical colour theory and colour mixing skills to start your experience in learning to paint.
Is this course right for me?
No experience necessary. It’s a great start for absolute beginners and lapsed artists!
Materials
Included in the course fee is use of our acrylic paints, mediums, brushes and also canvas or canvas paper.
Please bring the following:
- some soft rags or paper towels
- a notebook and pencil
- some reference images (A4)
- an apron
- your lunch
Maximum of 10-12 students in all our classes Our class sizes are small, ensuring you receive the individual tuition you need.
