Course testimonials:

  • The course was inspirational. I learnt a huge amount in such a short time and came away more confident, understanding how to tackle urban drawing. I look forward to attending future classes with Jody.
  • Jody led a well-designed and very stimulating course. The structure of studio days framing a field day was excellent, offering as it did a chance to try techniques and strategies, observe and sketch on location, and then return to the studio to make art (the brain having had a chance to sleep on the creative inspiration in between). I would love to see ArtEst offer more such three-day courses (or even more two-day courses, such as the intro to oils last week). I especially enjoyed being able to observe and try some media and approaches that were new to me and to discover the work of some artists I didn't know much about, as well as exploring how the urban sketching that I do on a regular basis might transform into conceptual artwork.
  • Highly recommend this course
