Exploring the art of sgraffito in this hands-on one day workshop! Guided by your tutor Tanya Bechara, you’ll learn this centuries-old decorative technique, where intricate designs are carved into underglaze on leather-hard greenware (unfired ceramic plate)
Using a pre-made clay platter (unfired) as your canvas, you’ll have the chance to sketch, carve, and personalise your piece with striking patterns and textures. Whether you’re inspired by traditional motifs or modern designs, this workshop is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
At the end of the day, your platter will be glazed and prepared for a professional kiln firing, ready for collection in approximately 10 days. Walk away with a beautiful, functional piece of art and the skills to continue your sgraffito journey.
All materials and tools provided. No prior experience required.
