Drawing with Coloured Pencils | Sally Mowbray

Learn to draw realistically and how to develop rich colour and tonal contrasts using a set of coloured pencils on cartridge or watercolour paper. This drawing class offers an encouraging, supportive environment for students to discover the joy of drawing realistically with coloured pencils. Beginning with simple still life observational drawing as a way of learning to ‘really see’, classes will gently progress to more complex subjects. Students will be guided through the process with demonstrations and encouraged to work at their own pace. Anyone can learn to draw, and this is a great starting point.

Course testimonials:

  • Sally is a very engaging and encouraging teacher, I enjoyed all her classes. I would have liked to learn a bit more technical skills, but the course was quite short, only 4 weeks. She did try to make each session interesting and I will certainly go back for more classes with her.
  • I enjoyed the small class size , friendly atmosphere, materials for class not expensive, and I found the class very relaxing
  • I really enjoyed Sally's class. Like Juliet, Sally is passionate and enthusiastic and I loved learning the basic skills of drawing and am so pleased Juliet recommended this course - she was right, I would have missed the use of colour. I was proud of the work I produced in Sally's class and thoroughly enjoyed it.
