Fresh new courses for Adults this Spring Discover your artistic potential at Art Est. Art School this spring. With a range of classes to suit all levels and interests, you can enjoy your own art escape. Our Spring school holiday program runs Tuesday to Friday until 10 October. Our Term 4 art courses for children are held after school and on Saturday, commencing Tuesday 14 October. With new Saturday advanced sessions, our courses cater to different age groups and skill levels. Art Est. is delighted to be partnering with Art Sydney to conduct art workshops for children at Sydney's premier art fair. The Weekend Australian Art Sydney will take place from 23 - 26 October 2008 at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park. Ensuring a fantastic day out for all the family, the Art Est. Art School workshops for kids allow you to explore the show at your leisure whilst your children enjoy a hands-on art experience in a supervised, stimulating environment. More details soon! Exhibition news Printemps, our current exhibition, opened on Tuesday 23 September 2008 and showcases artwork by the artists of Art Est., with artworks for sale. On until 18 October, drop by to view the exhibition, but best to call first as our opening hours vary. The art of Michele Zarro is currently on exhibition at Peloton until 25 October. Michele has also contributed Psychometry to the City of Sydney's Live Lanes - By George! Her installation spans the area of Albion Place west of the large doorways that divide the laneway in two. Find out more about Psychometry Lisa Woolfe, one of Art Est.'s artists in residence, will present a selection of recent works, N x NW ↖, at the Washhouse Gallery in Rozelle in a group show with Jenni Barrand and Jan Handel. The exhibition can be viewed from Tuesday October 14th until Saturday November 1st, with opening night and drinks with the artists on October 16th, 2008. Artful celebrations at Art Est. We've got some great party ideas for everyone at Art Est. including work Christmas parties for groups of 10-40. Kids can enjoy their own Birthday Art Party, families can have fun together at a painting, printmaking or mixed media workshop, adults might like to try a Life Drawing Party for a girl's night out, or we can design a fun painting class for your celebration. Art School is Sydney's newest creative hub, bringing qualified teachers and practicing artists to present a range of art courses for kids and adults, beginners to advanced. Our teachers are artists and educators who exhibit regularly and enjoy sharing their passion for art with their students.
