Make your child's next birthday party fun and arty. A birthday party at Art Est. is full of imaginative art activities. Everything is hands-on and the children can choose from a range of engaging and entertaining art making, such as printmaking, painting, mixed media, creative collage, and more.

The art parties are held in our funky warehouse art studios and gallery, so children feel like real artists from the moment they arrive. They begin their art journey in our gallery where we await the arrival of your guests. The children then move into the art studio which is set with easels, paints and everything they need to create a masterpiece. With Art Est. art aprons to complete the picture, their art experience begins!

Parties are two and a half hours duration, which includes the art workshop, all art materials, finished masterpieces to take home ready to hang in your own home art gallery, and then party time for birthday cake and treats at the end.

You can choose to do your own catering, or have our preferred caterer Busy Bee Boxes take care of it for you. Either way, you can provide your own special birthday cake.

This party is especially for little girls who would love to learn how to create something pretty. Children can try a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing and collage using watercolours, pen, beads, glitter, ribbon, etc. They can choose from a variety of designs including ballet slippers, butterflies or flowers, or their own original design to make a beautiful artwork on canvas.

A lively printmaking party. Children will learn simple and effective printmaking techniques and, using their own designs or ours, will create imaginative printworks on paper. They begin with drawings, learning what will work best as a print. Then children are shown how to transfer their design onto their own etching 'plate' to create pictures, bookmarks or cards. Each child will learn how to ink up their 'plate' and use the etching press to print their artwork on quality printmaking paper.

This art party is designed for kids who like to experiment with art using acrylic paint, flouro paint, pastels and crayons. Through painting, drawing, stenciling, layering and collage, children will enjoy discovering new ways to create a work of art on canvas in a fun party environment. Each child will produce a work of art on canvas.

Fancy capturing your furry, scaly or feathered friend in paint? This is a fun-filled party where you will learn how to paint a portrait of your favourite pet. Bring along photos of your dog, cat, goldfish, guppy or guinea pig and we’ll help the children transfer their ideas into a work of art on canvas. Through sketching and painting, each child will paint an artwork as individual as their pet!

Yo Ho Ho - an adventure in art especially for boys who love pirates. Walk the plank into a world of buccaneers and treasure. Make your own pirate hat to wear, design your own Jolly Roger (pirate flag) and paint a pirate scene on a canvas.

Susie Hobday and Earthbeats is a fun, interactive, multicultural music party for all ages. Earthbeats is all live music, singing, drumming, dance and hands on experience with many different instruments, including authentic drums and percussion from all around the world! A great party option, Earthbeats Children's Music engages, educates and entertains through play, puppets and plenty of exciting activities.

If your child has an interest in a particular art form, then why not let us design a very individual party for you? We have three fabulous studio spaces in our warehouse in Leichhardt and all parties are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment by experienced art teachers.

Cost:

Bring your child's favourite party snacks and cater for the party yourself. We'll supply everything to make the art workshop a fun experience, and you can bring the rest.

Let Busy Bee Boxes take care of the catering for you. You can choose from a child friendly menu that caters for even fussy eaters! Busy Bee Boxes is a fun, convenient and affordable way to cater for your child's birthday party or special occasion.

The food boxes are a surprise for every child with their meal being packaged in their very own lunch box. Inside they find their favourite party food and its all just for them!

Your catering will be delivered to Art Est. and all you have to do is simply hand them to the children at lunch time and watch them enjoy the surprise.

Busy Bee Boxes can also provide lolly bags, gift bags, decorations and more.

Busy Bee Boxes treats every party individually so they take the time to discuss your child's ideal box for his or her party and design one that all the guests will love.

Why not order individually embroidered aprons for every child to wear and keep as a fabulous a memento of the birthday art party. Aprons feature the Art Est. logo, and can be individualized with each child ’s name on their apron, or have the same words embroidered on each, such as “Georgie's 7th Birthday ”. You can also just order one apron especially for the birthday child.

Bring a fabric pen so children can draw or write messages on their aprons too.

Cost:

Canvases supplied for painting parties are generally 30cm x 30cm, but should you wish to paint larger canvases a surcharge will apply according to the canvas size.

Your children may wish to party for longer than their art session so that you can include your own party games or disco into your event. By prior arrangement, you are welcome to continue your celebration in the Art Est. Gallery for a small surcharge.
