OUR SPRING HOLIDAY PROGRAM WILL BE LAUNCHED LATE AUGUST

Our school holiday art program offers a fantastic range of art activities to keep your children creatively entertained.

Each activity is a 3 hour workshop from 10.00am-1.00pm or 2.00pm-5.00pm. The workshop fee is $50, including all materials unless otherwise indicated below. If you would like to book in for two courses on the one day, children are welcome to bring their lunchbox and will be supervised between classes during the lunch break.

Classes are structured for two age groups: 5-9 years and 10 years and over. 'Mix and Match' five sessions or more between your children to receive a 10% discount!

Be half-human, an animal, a monster, a funny character. Learn new illustration and animation techniques, and explore your ideas in a fun and creative way to develop your own avatar. It’s a great introduction to character development for beginner animators.

Ever wanted to turn yourself into something different? Mask making can give you that chance. Will your mask be smiling, sad or ferocious? It is up to you to create anything you like. Adorn your mask with feathers or intricate patterns, give it horns, a big nose or perhaps something more angelic. You will be inspired by different cultures and artists and have fun creating your mask using mod roc.

Paint Your Pet artists and artworks

Fancy capturing your furry, scaly or feathered friend in paint? This is a fun-filled course where you will learn how to paint a portrait of your favourite pet. Bring along photos of your dog, cat, goldfish, guppy or guinea pig and we’ll help you transform your ideas into a work of art. Through sketching, experimentation with paint and an investigation of the different ways animals have been captured in art, you’ll create an artwork as individual as your pet!

We will explore ways to create your animal sculptures using paper, tape and mod roc, a versatile and fun medium to use. Students will gain an understanding of proportion and an appreciation of the work of other artists.

Join us in a fun exploration of Pop Art, an art movement in the late 1950s and 60s where the art of Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein reflected everyday life and common objects and blurred the line between fine art and commercial art.  We’ll be using everyday objects, photographs, repetition, colour, fluoro and metallic paints to paint your own work of Pop Art on a canvas. Workshop fee includes a small canvas (30x30cm), but if you wish to paint a larger scale work, please bring your own canvas.
