Students will start an exciting project that will develop a series of new works in a manner that will further your skills and understanding of studio practice. We will look at different ways and strategies to achieve this. We will work closely with mixing colour, understanding tone and mark making and look at contemporary artists work and 20th Century Modern Masters. A Final 4 week project will also be undertaken from week 4/5 that will explore the possibilities of working from other media sources [for example, using a photograph as inspiration for composition, colour or an idea.]

For continuing students who have completed a Foundations course there's more interesting and challenging exercises to help develop your individual "voice" at your own pace and more ideas to improve your application and expression.

Suitable for new and continuing students.
