There's so much to choose from in Term 3 with new courses and new artists teaching at Art Est.

We're introducing more classes for beginners,  including drawing, painting and printmaking, as well as new courses in Screenprinting on Fabric and Sculpture and Mixed Media. Students 16 years and over are also welcome to enrol in any adult course.

Mid-term enrolments are possible for some courses, so contact us to discuss your options.

Contemporary Acrylics Workshop


Mixed Palette is a chance for you to sample something new in art! Come along to one of our short introductory sessions where the tutor will give you a taste of art and what you can expect from their course this term. Each session will be a hands-on, practical class, so you'll be creating art from scratch! What's more, all materials are supplied for this trial class, so you just need to turn up and enjoy a new art experience.

Dynamic Drawing is for anyone who wants to learn to draw in a nurturing, organic environment. Still life, the figure and landscape provide starting points for the development of your individual drawing style.This class will build your confidence, and you will learn to trust your instinct to draw without the pressure of what is right or wrong, good or bad, realistic or abstract. Music adds another dimension to the class which is conducted in a relaxed yet energising atmosphere. Drawing paper, compressed charcoal, paint, pastels or any media you wish to explore is welcome.

This course can be taken in conjunction with Colour and Painting for Beginners as a foundation program to further courses.
